Yeah, we missed Four Horsemen Friday yesterday, so we're making up for it today - Saturday! It's not that we're really lazy (well we are, but that's not the cause of the delay this time), we just got a bit more distracted than normal yesterday because the NEW YORK TIMES CAME IN TO INTERVIEW US!!
Yep! THAT New York Times! Crazy, huh? No idea when or if it'll ever go to print, but we'll let you know when we hear anything right here, so keep your eyes peeled.
Anyhoo... On to this installment of Four Horsemen Fridays - Lazy Edition.
Today we're continuing with the set for the Scarabus photo shoot.
Here you see the set as it's nearly finished with jest a few things to wrap up before shooting begins. The columns are finished and in place - they're nothing more than PVC pipe with a turned down part attached to the bottoms and then painted like black marble. The background's been textured and painted, and the drapery is there, just not in it's final position yet.
By the way, this isn't the only set we're doing for this photoshoot. It's just the most involved, so we thought you'd like to see how it all came together.

Remember that empty hole in the back of the set? Well it's now been filled with a faux stained glass window. That's nothing more than clear sheets of plastic with the stained glass window image printed on it and then attached to a thin piece of plexi-glass to which we added a little "stained glass" looking surface texture. We then light that from behind as is being demonstrated in the image below by our very own Horseman, Chris Dahlberg.

And those cool little candle sconces on the walls in the images above? Nothing more than re-painted Time Keeper parts re-assembled with melted birthday candles on top. Wait until you see the images with the set fully lit and those candles lit as well! It looks awesome!

Last for today's Four Horsemen Friday - here are a couple of shots of the set almost completely finished and ready to shoot. As you can see, the faux marble flooring's in place. The lighting's all set up and ready to go, and the drapery is all in place and hanging all around Scarabus as it should.

That's it for today. Be sure to come back next week for another insider's look at Four Horsemen Studios!
