POST TOY FAIR / TOYPOCALYPSE 3 INFO, UPDATES AND ANSWERS!

Well, Toy Fair 2013 is over and done with, and we are finally starting to crawl out to see light of day here again at Four Horsemen Studios. It was a great show for us this year, and for the action figure world in general. There were a lot of cool reveals this year, with an accompanying buzz that we haven’t seen for quite a while. We had a lot of fun, and it was great to see friends and colleagues again that we haven’t seen since this time last year. 

We realize that in the midst of the whirlwind of Toy Fair events that there are a lot of questions about various aspects of what we revealed this weekend. So without further adieu, here is the official Four Horsemen Studios Post Toy Fair / Toypocalypse 3 Wrap-up:

POWER LORDS
Toy Fair and our annual gallery show at TT Underground Gallery - Toypocalypse brought us the opportunity to finally reveal the prototypes for our newest property: Power Lords. At our Toypocalypse 3: ExtraTOYrrestrial show we celebrated the launch by showcasing a number of vintage Power Lords collectibles and fan submitted artwork. Original Power Lords character designer Wayne Barlowe was on hand to share his experiences with the property, and also to show off his collection of original drawings and concepts from the original line. A segment was filmed for the incredibly popular reality TV show “Cake Boss” where the bakery presented to the Four Horsemen an amazing Power Lords themed cake. It was a sight to behold, and flat out delicious. Thanks to everyone involved for making this such an amazing event.

- The Power Lords action figure line will be at an approximate 3.75” scale - the figures that were shown at Toypocalypse 3 were 2-ups.
- We are going to begin the tooling process on the first Power Lords figures with variants in the next couple of weeks. We are hoping to release a preview wave of these figures at San Diego Comic Con 2013. 
- We will be doing a number of exclusive and variant figures over the course of the year with the fully painted and carded set to be released early-mid winter. 
- The plan as of right now is to include Glyos compatible joints, but the extent of this won’t be determined until we go over these with the factory. Fingers crossed...
- We are still planning on moving forward with the Power Lords Fan Club, but we are still working out the details to ensure that the club is really special. Details on that will be revealed between now and Comic Con.

THE OUTER SPACE MEN
- We are currently putting finishing touches on upcoming Outer Space Men figures Colossus Rex, Terra Firma, Gamma-X, and Jack Asteroid. These will be on our regular schedule with the Alpha Phase debuting and on sale at San Diego Comic Con 2013 (don't worry - for those not able to attend Comic Con they'll be up for sale at Store Horsemen in limited amounts as well). The Beta Phase, Galactic Holiday, and Infinity editions will be released at the same basic time intervals as previous waves.
- We will be getting into revisions on the three new female OSM characters that were revealed at Toypocalypse 3 very soon, and release date is yet to be determined based on the work remaining on the figures. We will keep you updated as these progress.
- The 2nd wave of Cosmic Creators: Mel Birnkrant editions will be exclusive to The Outer Space Men website. They are up for pre-order now.

GOTHITROPOLIS
- We are planning on starting a Kickstarter program for the Raven and his variants in the spring of this year. Fans have waited a long time for this figure to come to fruition, and the time is finally almost here! We will continue to update about this as we get closer to the start date.
- The Vampire Queen’s fate will be determined in large part by the results of the Raven Kickstarter. We originally planned to sneak these ladies in before the Ravens because we thought she would be quick and significantly cheaper. That proved not to be true, and we also got a good feel for how passionate the fans were about the Raven. So if all goes well, we may have a Kickstarter going for the Vampire Queen by this time next year.

MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE CLASSICS
- First, we wanted to thank everybody for all of the kind words on all of the MotU Classics reveals. We were excited to show this batch of items off to the world, and the warm response was greatly appreciated.
- We will be recording an episode of He-Man.org's Roast Gooble Dinner this weekend where we will be  discussing the show in detail. Horseman Eric Treadaway will be joining the regular RGD crew again so please keep an eye out for the episode, and hopefully all of your questions will be revealed.

TOYPOCALYPSE 3 AN OUT OF THIS WORLD SUCCESS!!

The Toypocalypse 3: ExtraTOYrrestrial opening night was an incredible success this weekend and if you weren't able to attend the opening event, you can still see everything on display until this coming Wednesday night at the TT Underground Galleries in NYC, or you can go right over to the Power Lords official site "The Power Lords Return" to read about everything that went on and to get access to links from Toypocalypse 3 reports all over the internet!

FOUR HORSEMEN & THE CAKE BOSS JOIN FORCES!!

Yes, you read that right...

The producers of the TLC program Cake Boss (now in it's 6th season) have contacted the Four Horsemen about featuring them and the re-launch of Power Lords at Toypocalypse 3: ExtraTOYrrestrial on an upcoming episode of their wildly popular reality show. The Horsemen visited the Cake Boss offices this morning to go over the final details of the Power Lords inspired cake and the work being done on the cake so far is spectacular!

Featuring 3D representations of Vulcan Rock and a selection of Power Lords characters, the custom made cake will be presented to fans at Toypocalypse 3: ExtraTOYrrestrial, the Four Horsemen's third annual gallery show opening event at the TT Underground Gallery in New York City on Saturday, February 9th, beginning at 7pm.

Members of the Cake Boss production crew are planning to arrive at the gallery show around 8:30pm to begin filming the episode and to present the cake to the fans of Four Horsemen Studios, Power Lords and original Power Lords character designer Wayne Barlowe.

So if you're a fan of the Four Horsemen, Wayne Barlowe, The Power Lords or even Cake Boss, be sure to drop in to the TT Underground Gallery Saturday evening to get your self a little slice of action figure history.

TOYPOCALYPSE 3: EXTRATOYRRESTRIAL!!

It's that time of the year again when throngs of toy fans, toy creators and toy buyers worldwide converge on New York City for the International Toy Fair. For the third year in a row during this time, the art gallery TT Underground and Beerlao will be hosting the Four Horsemen as they bring you Toypocalypse 3: ExtraTOYrrestrial!!

This is the Four Horsemen's third annual gallery show featuring their work past, present and future, and this year Toypocalypse revolves around their newest licensed property - The Power Lords! The Power Lords was a toy line from the 80's that seemed to be a bit ahead of it's time, but it has a very loyal fan base that have been hoping for it's return. With the launch of the Power Lords website, it was announced that the Four Horsemen now have the license to create new Power Lords toys and other merchandise, and this show will reveal early prototypes of some of the upcoming Power Lords characters!

SPECIAL GUEST!!:  The original designer of the Power Lords toys back in the 80's and world renowned artist and sought after Hollywood creature designer Wayne Barlowe will be the special guest at Toypocalypse 3: ExtraTOYrrestrial on the opening night of the show! There will be original artwork created by Mr. Barlowe as designs for the original Power Lords line, as well as a print of one of those pieces being sold at the show, which Mr. Barlowe will gladly sign for you!

Also at Toypocalyse 3: ExtraTOYrrestrial... Original artwork and 3D customs done by Power Lords fans in a Power Lords artwork and customs show! A display of classic Power Lords toys, original design artwork and other obscure merchandise generously donated and loaned to the Four Horsemen specifically for this show! The reveal of some new prototypes of upcoming characters and projects from other various Four Horsemen properties and licenses! 2ups, paint-masters and other prototypes from some of Four Horsemen properties and Mattel action figure lines! Fantastic finger foods, delicious drinks and an amazing DJ will be onhand to rock the party on opening night only!

NEW OUTER SPACE MEN INVADE FOUR HORSEMEN STUDIOS!!

These just came in and we couldn't wait to show them off to all of you! The factory sent us samples of the Infinity Edition versions of Orbitron, Gemini and our first deluxe Outer Space Man - Cyclops! The pics are below and just check out the size of Cyclops's blister card! The paints are incredible and we're SO happy with the job the factory's done on these Outer Space Men.

What does this mean to you? Well, it means that pre-orders for these bad boys are going up right after Toy Fair's over and we expect to have them in our warehouse in March!

ANOTHER PIECE OF THE POWER LORDS PUZZLE?
